Remove Your Organization from On-line Donations and GuideStar Collaborations
Information about your organization may be included on Web sites that have licensed use of the GuideStar search engine and database and in data sets purchased from GuideStar. You can, however, remove your organization's information from these sites and data pulls.
Note: As a tax-exempt nonprofit registered with the IRS, your organization will remain in the GuideStar database. Your information simply will not appear at sites that have licensed GuideStar data or in data sets purchased from GuideStar.
Organizations That Have Registered with GuideStar
- Log in.
- Click My GuideStar.
- Select Update your nonprofit report.
- Click your nonprofit's EIN. If your EIN isn't displayed, enter the number in the EIN box below and select the Continue button
- Select Choose On-line Options on the right.
- Select either Remove Your Organization from On-line Donations or Remove Your Organization from GuideStar Collaborations.
- Select the No button.
- Select Save.
Organizations That Have Not Registered with GuideStar
Fax, mail, or e-mail the following information to GuideStar's Customer Service Department:
- The name of your organization
- Your Employer Identification Number (EIN), assigned by the IRS
- Your name and title
- A statement that your organization does not wish to participate in On-line Donations and/or GuideStar collaborations.
